Here is a list of the top 10 myths and mistake to weight loss:

  1. Mistake: - unmotivated.
  2. Mistake: - don't know what you are eating (calories and fats in).
  3. Myth: - More exercise is better. FICTION - you can actually overtrain which could have a negative effect on your immune system and weight.
  4. Mistake: - eating before bedtime. Try to eat at least 3 hours before you go to bed.
  5. Myth: - The less I eat the better. FICTION - if you don't eat enough then your body's immune system will try to hold on to the fat and burn muscle instead.
  6. Mistake: - not exercising. You are just making it harder on yourself to lose weight.
  7. Mistake: - give up. So many people get discouraged with losing weight that they give in.
  8. Myth: - FAT-FREE; can eat all I want. FICTION - Fat-Free does not mean calorie Free. There are sugars and other unnecessary ingredients in there that will cause you to actually gain weight.
  9. Mistake: - heart rate up. Many people think they are getting good exercise when walking, but the truth is that they will not burn many calories unless they get their heart-rate up.
  10. Mistake: - Diet pills. They are a momentary fix and can make you actually gain weight in the long run.
