How to Lose Weight
The best, safest, and healthiest way to lose way is with diet and exercise! But only if it's done correctly. We will give you some examples of diets and exercises done the right and wrong way:
Diets:
- healthy way-
Low calorie - The diet where you count your calories and keep them below a desired amount.
Atkins - Is a high-protein, high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet.
South Beach - Is a diet that minimizes consumption of bad fats and bad carbs and encourages increased consumption of good fats and good carbs.
NutriSystem - A diet based on foods that your purchase through them that have good carbohydrates included as well are low in fat.
- unhealthy way-
not eating - Not eating will throw your immune system out of whack, will cause your body to retain it's fat, will cause your body to break down your muscle, and will give you less energy.
diet pills - Most do not work, but others can be dangerous as they will spead up your heart rate.
regurgitation - You will lose the proper nutrients that your body needs, you will burn your esophagus, and you will hurt your immune system.
Exercises:
- more productive -
building muscle - When training work on building and stregnthening your muscles by using equipment such as dumbells. The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn and the more energy you will have.
cardio - When exercising, make sure you work your cardio by doing such machines as the treadmill and/or elliptical. Cardio will burn much more calories over weight training.
heart rate - Make sure you are getting your heart rate up when training. Avoid long resting periods and try to go faster and harder. The more you get your heart rate up, then the more calories you will burn.
- not productive -
overtraining - It's when you train too much and too often so your body responds by holding back your fat for reserves and you do NOT lose any weight in the process OR gain muscle.
undertraining - It's when you don't train hard enough and don't get your heart rate up enough to burn enough calories and/or gain any muscle.
