Here is a list of the top 10 things that you need to know of weight loss:

  1. It's mental - If you want to lose weight then you must be committed. Make sure you are committed to eating healthier meals, exercising at least 3 times a weak, and even be able to stop yourself from eating more. It's all mental so be prepared.
  2. Get your hear rate up - Make sure you are getting your heart-rate up when exercising. If NOT then you are not losing as many calories as you might think.
  3. Combine aerobic (cardio) and anaerobic (weightlifting) exercises - Do this on top of dieting for prime gains.
  4. Sleep - 8 hours is suggested and you will have more energy as well as be less hungry.
  5. No late night snacks - Don't eat any food at least 3 hours before betime. Those calories are difficult to burn.
  6. Reduce eating out - It's so difficult to find healthy foods when eating out, so try staying in an cooking your own food. You will save a lot of money in the process.
  7. Drink water - Not only will it rehydrate you, but it will help fill you up (when thirsty), and it's 0 calories.
  8. Substitute - You need to eat when dieting and you can still the same foods that you enjoy by just substituting healthier alternatives in the receipes. Applesauce instead of oil, spray butter instead of regular butter, egg whites (or beaters) instead of a whole egg, and so many more.
  9. Life Change - Realize that losing weight is a life change NOt just a momentary change. If you are looking for just a quick weight loss plan, then you will gain all of the weight back. Make sure that you are ready to exercise frequently as well as eat right so that you will not put the weight back on.
  10. Just do it - When it's hard to get out of bed OR difficult to eat the reduced calorie food, you have got to "Just do it!" Don't give up OR you will slowly get back to your old sef and the weight will NOT come off.
